Help, my ottoman might disintegrate?
I bought a sturdy wicker ottoman at Pier One a couple of months ago, it has a place for a pillow to set on the top of it. Living in Washington state, in case that matters. Well I noticed this little pile of "sawdust" kind of stuff in one spot. So naturally I cleaned it up and waited to see. The very next day there was another smaller pile. So.....I figure it is a critter of some type and I want it to stop. Any real suggestions would be appreciated. Is there something to spray it with to stop this event from happening without ruining my ottoman.

Piles of sawdust point to termites.

If it can fit into a large trashbag (or clean trashcan with lid), put it inside, hit it with bug spray, and close it up tightly for several days.

After you remove it, wipe it down with a damp cloth before bringing it back inside.
It could be anything from woodworm to termites. Try to find the hole/s and apply petroleum jelly into the hole. it will effectively smother the bug. You can also apply some bug killer and then apply the petroleum jelly to be doubly sure.
