Color scheming for house, help would be appreciated!?
Hi everyone, I just got the keys to my house today and since the movers don't come until Tuesday of next week I plan on spending this whole weekend working. I don't know what color schemes to go with so advice, samples and such would be very helpful.
Here are my ideas-
In our living room I kind of want to go with Spanish/Morrocian colors, my couches are beige with orange and red thread through them (they are prettier than they sound!).
The kitchen and dining area would be in the same range since it is all connected.
In my bedroom we have a brown blanket with pink flower stitching through it (again nicer than it actually sounds) and I am thinking of getting a brown wooden bed with a leather back board so I am not sure what color I would paint it. Ideas?
In the guest room I have a white wicker (yuck!) bed set that was mine when I was at home so I was thinking maybe either Americana or relaxed beach feeling, what colors would go? I was thinking blue with light houses and such. Ideas are welcome though. The bathroom is tiny but I am open to ideas in there as well, maybe palm trees, so a light green? Or a darker one.
Since I am living in military housing I do have to paint everything back when I move out. Thanks so much and I look forward to hearing your ideas!
Sorry- I meant the guest room is pretty small and the bathroom is even smaller, and that's where I was thinking of doing the palmtree idea.

Sounds like you have a good handle on things. For the living room, maybe an orange or red accent wall with a neutral color on the other walls with brown drapes. Go neutral, like taupe, or browns in your bedroom and add other items and colors for accents. The guest room sounds great but if you're not in love with the white wicker, think about spray painting it navy or gray. You could also get more ideas at hgtv.com. Have fun and enjoy your new home. Make sure when you get paint swatches, bring them home and see the colors in the light of the rooms in your home. Roxanne
I love to decorate and congratulations on your new place. Here are some ideas. For the living area or the room with the orange or morroco? There is a color called champagne gold as an acrylic and you could mix it with a espresso. Or I personally like something different so why not an orangy brown.

The bedroom sound pretty in blue. Here is an idea tool You can get wallpaper with like dots on it and then paint it like the Ralph Lauren River rock! It looks good. Also paper baggin on a roll. Take half elmers glue and half water and gets some cool bronze tacks and then dip into the solution and then tack. When it dries it looks just like leather!

Last of all I love white and a bleached sand would be gorgeous with around the windows or doors a different color? A silver ocean blue would also be nice too and beachy! Also at Lowes they have gorgeous wall paper and maybe do one wall and then paint just it...
For the Morrocan feel, get the real thing, here are some ideas:

For the living room golden bronze would be ideal with accents in the spanish/morrocan jewel tones.

But it would be too much for all three areas, even using a lighter shade in the kitchen/dining.
Staying with the spanish feel, an earthy light sage would flow and coordinate perfectly.
Check out sherwin williams color visualizer, choose a room similar to yours and drag & drop different colors and see which ones appeal to you.

That's a great idea for the guest and bathroom, small rooms should be light in color.

Roxanne, a couple weeks ago I saw a question about you cheating, having extra accounts and voting for yourself...you denied it, your avatar has a ?, instead of Roxanne like on your other account, which happens when you make an extra account on the same computer, signing your name shows both accounts are yours.
