Accent Wall Color?? Pictures Included...?
I need to pick an accent wall color... My bed and bedding is all white with wicker baskets under it (see below). My dresser is light birch like this...

Most of my other furniture and decor is black metal. I have one painting that is red black and white, lots of wicker baskets, and a white and birch wood couch.

My original plan was to do it gray since my bed is white but I'm having second thoughts. Any ideas?

Here are some of the items in my apt...

u can paint beige or light pink. or u can go for all light pastel shades.
play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think you definitely need a slightly darker color b/c white or tan would just wash out your furniture. I think I would choose a blue like "labradorite" (# 7619). Very nice with the white wicker.
Since it looks like your furniture is from a neutral color palette I think you could paint your walls almost any color. I had an interior design instructor tell me that when decorating you should pick the paint color last. Use the painting you have or another piece that inspires you and chose one of the colors in the artwork for your wall color. You don't have to match the colors exactly. Pick up a few paint cards that have the same color in the painting and then several colors in varying shades. Then you can pick a color that is in the same family but does not match exactly. Hope that helps!
Since the only dramatic color in your room sounds like it's red, you are getting stuck because of one picture. If you change that you can have lots of choices. I think you have lots of cool things and could have a really sophisticated look if you painted the walls a light blue or aqua. With black and white accents, your room will look crisp and clean. Consider something like this:

gray and light woods clash, to my eyes at least. in my opinion, soft light green sounds more friendly than gray.
