How would you get odor out of wicker that has been in storage for a year? Smells terrible !!?

Wicker? Just toss it.
Just a guess, but try spraying Fabreeze on it.
power wash it if it is not painted. you could spray it with "nil odour" it works great.
Store the wicker on your front porch for a week or two. Somewhere shady where it is protected from rain but can be exposed to fresh air.
i would leave it out side to air out for a couple of days. if that does not word then deodorizer on it.
you don't
If it has blackish mold on it with the smell, then toss it. Mildew is dangerous to your health as the spores get into your lungs and cause problems. Because wicker is a natural material, the mildew actually seeps right into the wicker and you can't get all of it out. Mildew loves moisture, so don't store stuff like that in a damp basement or garage.
go buy a new one.........
Could be mold or mildew. If you really want to rescue it, wash in a solution of water, baking soda, and vinegar or amonia. Then put it out in the direct sun to dry. Strong sunlight can act as a disinfectant.
short answer you cant, wicker is a natural material and will ahve become affected with mould, you could try an antifungal spray but it might ruin the integrity of the willow.
Place dryer sheets on it and wrap it in plastic. A week or two should do it. Or spray it with fabreeze after washing it.
It is probably shot but before tossing it out I would try some mild detergent with a cap of clorox. Scrub it down and let it dry in the sun. If it has cushions throw them out and buy some new ones.
Use this stuff called Approach. You can get it online at www.approachit.net It's water-based so it's safe for the furniture and safe to breathe in and it'll kill any mold growing that's causing the odor as well as remove the odor itself. Spray it all over the wicker stuff until the odor is gone. (make sure u spray everywhere on it).

Should cure up any odor problems you have. :) Good luck!
