What techniques or procedures are used to bind the joints of wicker chairs?
The rattan bindings on the joints of some of my wicker chairs are unraveling. My repairing them looks sloppy. I want to re-wrap the joints with new rattan. What is the technique to get good, tight joints?

It's actually the same technique used in basket weaving. The whole strand must be replaced. I recommend you take it to a local hobby/arts/crafts store and ask them to fix it. They will have the knowledge, experience, materials, and most likely be very affordable. Good Luck!
