I live in south Texas and I have my wicker chairs on the patio?
They don't get rained on, but they are starting to look dirty. I have cleaned them but the black is still on them. It is hot and dry where I am. Any suggestions? Would it help the look if I painted them?

Prime it then paint it use spray paint and spray primer and it will work just fine! Ask the guys at the paint store wich is best. It will protect your wicker also and kill anything that might be attaching itself!
I'm in Arizona...the heat drys them out and makes them look dirty. You need to get a furniture oil and rub it into them a few times a year to keep them from drying out. Like Murphys oil or something similar
